Water Jetting & Drain Snaking

These are the two methods that we use to clear drains. Hydro jetting goes by many names and consists of shooting high-pressure streams of water through the piping of your plumbing system to clean major blockages and buildups that are causing problems. Drain snaking is a method that uses an auger to reach down into your pipes and pull up minor blockages such as wads of hair, clumps of food waste, etc.

Floor Drains

When you think of drain cleaning, you think of plunging a toilet or drain snaking a sink. However, those aren’t the only drains in your home. There are floor drains through your home, including the basement, garage, and laundry room. These are there to help get rid of water in case of flooding or a plumbing problem. At Sewer & Septic Specialist, we have the tools needed to find and reach clogs that originate in your flood drains.

Kitchen Drains

The kitchen is one of the most common places for drain clogs due to the number of things that wash down the drain. From cooking to cleaning, lots of wastewater flows down the kitchen sink. However, there are plenty of other things that flow down the kitchen sink. To prevent kitchen drain clogs, avoid putting the following down your drains:

  • Grease
  • Fat
  • Coffee Grounds
  • Sticky Substances
  • Seeds & Pits
  • Fruit & Vegetable Skins
  • General Food Waste

Bathroom Drains

Another common place that we see drain clogs is in the bathroom. In the bathroom, multiple parts of your plumbing system come together, which makes them susceptible to clogs from all of the things that wash down our shower drain, toilet, and even sink drain.

Here are some of the most common materials that clog bathrooms – be sure to void them in your home!

  • Soap Scum
  • Condoms
  • Tampons
  • Sanitary Napkins
  • Facial Tissues
  • Waste Buildup
  • Sanitary Wipes
  • Hair
  • Paper Towels
